"Great portable heater for a small room." 2010-08-11
By Jane from Oakland, Ca, USA
This is an oil-filled thin panel heater. It takes it about 15 minutes to actually begin heating an area, but it works just as advertised. This heater is absolutely silent, with no oder like you get from the fan-style heater. It does take a while for the heater to fully heat up. About 20 minutes, but it delivers what I was looking for. Very low power usage and enough heat to make a difference of at least 10 degrees. Arrived on time and in perfect condition. My space is 10 Ft. by 10 Ft. (100 Sq. ft.) so I don't need that much actual heat to make a difference in my room. Sitting right in front of the heater delivers very nice radiating heat.

"small and cozy" 2010-01-11
By Gilly (New York, NY)
works great for a small space-which is what I purchased it for. if kept on low setting, doesn't get too hot, important for bare legs, and is even more silent than our delonghi heater(which is better for a larger room). remember to move the dial past the "click" for it to start heating. I would only add a simple programmable time clock for future units. may purchase a separate timer for the outlet for this one.simple, clean, and very functional. our cat is happy too, sniffs it each time, not avoiding it like larger heaters.

"Only makes warm my feet" 2010-01-08

I bought the heater for my leaving room 12 x 12 and I am so disappointed. The heater is small, is producing enough heat to make my feet warm. It is good for office, put under your desk and fill warm.

If you want to heat your room, forget about this product, spend few more $$$ and buy something better otherwise you will have one more thing in your storage or garage.

"Dayton Heater" 2009-12-30

I purchased this heater for a home office after using one for my actual office. Additionally, there were about 10 or so other people in the office building that utilized these heaters. I would say that the room sizes ranged from 12' x 12' to about 20' x 20'. As an oil-based heater, it takes a few minutes to warm up and also warm up the room. However, once it gets going, it really does a fantastic job. Unlike some of those coil heaters that deliver heat to a specific area (such as one's feet), this little unit heats up the entire room and it does it very well. This particular heater, I believe, is also made under the brand "New Air." I ultimately chose this heater over other heaters because it is 1) very thin and takes up very little space, 2) it takes up only 400 watts (unlike most other heaters that take up 1,500 watts), 3) it works very well, 4) it's completely silent (great for speaking on the phone) and 4) I believe it's safer than coil-based heaters. Since this heater is used in a space that has a multitude of other equipment pulling a good amount of wattage, the low wattage was a primary consideration. In fact, the actual office building chose this heater to replace the other original 12 or so heaters because the other heaters were constantly tripping the circuit breakers due to over-utilization of electric power. While it would be nice to have a digital switch to set automatic shut-off and temperature, there is a manual dial where you can set the temperature in the room by turning the dial until you here a "click," which will cause the unit to keep the temperature at that level. All in all, I'm very pleased with this heater and would recommend it to others that are interested in safety, preventing circuit-breaker tripping and silent running.

This product works excellent:) I had it for about 2 1/2 years and it still works as when I first bought it. Only 400 Watts and works great in my 16 X 13. Because my husband and I have a new born, when the building heat is off, I turn it on and we feel the temperature difference. My husband is an H.V.A.C Tech so he has it by the window to stop the cold air from creeping in. It's the quietest portable heater I ever bought. Makes absolutely no noise. That's a plus for us. Keeps us and the baby warm. I also bought one for my cousin's office space and she loves it. Highly recommend.
