I got this for my bathroom (I'm very careful about keeping it away from water) and it works like a charm. It's a pretty small bath, but can get very cold. This fan warms it up in about three minutes. No more goosebumps while shaving! It has a smooth, slow oscillation and is very quiet -- just a "shhhh" sound -- no rattles or creaks. Handle in the back works fine; I often move it from the floor to tabletop. I was considering a smaller sized heater, but the tower design of this one really provides a nice distribution of warm air. Such a small price to pay for a luxurious daily shower experience.

I purchased this heater for the living room in my apartment, which is 13x15 with two open doors to other rooms, a pass-through to the kitchen, and drafty north-facing 4th floor windows. I know I'm asking a lot of this little heater. After 30 minutes on high, it definitely takes the chill off the room very well, and then maintains a comfortable temperature being turned down to medium. The oscillation is a very good feature for warming the whole space. I think that in a closed room of similar size, this little heater would really shine.

This is a great little heater. It broke the chill in my apartment before they switched back over to heat from AC in my building. Good heat settings too. You can turn it down and not worry about waking up in a pool of sweat or freezing cold.

I've had my Pelonis Disc Furnace for over 20 years. In fact I have three of them. They were almost $200.00 when they came out, and still they were, and remain a bargain. Consistent heat, accurate controls, and easy straight forward operation,, Anyone who has trouble reaching the controls, is not following the instructions and putting it too close to other objects.

These were not my first Heaters. I have been using them for years, I wore mine out and needed to replace them and I found that I made a very good choice with these heaters. They are very Warm and do NOT use that much electricity. I am considering buying 2 more and quit using my main heating system. That way I will have 1 in every room, then I will only need to heat the rooms that are being used.

I purchased this heater and used it full time for about a year while living in a motor home, then I used it on and off in the winters for a little extra heat in the bathroom. It lasted 10 years before the fan bearings started going out and making a lot of noise. The thermostat works great, the fan noise wasn't bad and the heat was excellent for a small heater.

I put this unit in my sons room, the coldest room in the house to supplement for a wood stove in the living room. It raises the temp in a 12 by 14 room by 5 degrees in about 20 minutes. It cycles on and off and is very cheap to run. I am pleased and will be buying more for my shop and to have on hand as a back up heat source.

As a long time pelonis owner, I replaced it with a new pelonis that is very much like the original. The first one lasted at least 15 years. It would have been senseless to replace it with something inferior. We use it in conjunction with central heat, to keep the central heat from warming up areas we are not occupying. This also helps with the utility bill.

We bought this to place into a gel fireplace stand, since we needed it for heat. We used it this past summer and in the North East it was a viscous one! It worked WONDERFULLY in our living room and did exactly what we wanted it to do. It does look relatively realistic but the mirror background is kind of a give away lol. Either way it does the job we need it to do and looks cute doing it. I would recommend this to anyoen I know interested in a heater fireplace.

I'm a NYC'er. I live in an apartment with a fireplace that can't be used. A shame. But, instead of letting it go to waste, I WANTED...a 'fire' in there!


I looked around, and saw the revues for this one (I was NOT looking for 'heat' - just the fire). I LOVE this thing. Yes, it's got a kitch factor, but...I just think that it's awesome. YES it has a built-in heater, but, it's spring now, and besides, I didn't buy it for warmth. In fact, when I unpacked it and plugged it in, I jumped, because it seemed like there WAS a fire in the fireplace.

It's got a remote to turn it on/off. For those nights - especially for city-dwellers like me - who LONG to use their unusable fireplace, this is AWESOME.

We primarily purchased it for the look. We are unable to use our woodburning fireplace because of the type of heating system we recently installed yet we really missed the look and atmosphere of a fire. This fit the bill perfectly. It looks exactly like the real thing. The only thing missing is the smell and of course the messy ashes to clean out of the fireplace. It doesn't provide a lot of warmth for the room it is in unless you are close to it. However, we are more than happy with a purchase would recommend it highly.
